Setup Unfolding the Handle 1. Unlock the handle locks , mo ve the handle sections into the operating position, and loc k the handle locks (Figure 3). Figure 3 2. Unlock the upper handle locks and rotate the upper handle upw ard and loc k it into a position that is comfortable to you (Figure 4).
Installing the Fuse (Model 447F Only) Y our mow er comes with a 40-amp fuse that protects the electric starter . Important: Y ou cannot start the mo wer with the electric star ter or charge the batter y unless y ou install the fuse. 1. If the bag is on the mow er , remo ve it (refer to R emo ving the Grass Bag) before rear -discharging the clippings (Figure 19).
– Raise the cutting height on your mow er . – Cut the grass more frequently . – Overlap cutting swaths instead of cutting a full swath with each pass . – Set the cutting height on the front wheels one notch lower than the rear wheels . F or example , set the front wheels at 60 mm and the rear wheels at 70 mm.
